FREE Van Rides to VA Medical Facilities

Morrow County Veterans Service Commission provides free transportation to local VA medical facilities for veterans of Morrow County. These include facilities in Columbus and Marion. We provide transportation to Cleveland, Dayton, Chillicothe and Cincinnati but ONLY with approval from the CVSO. With prior notification, spouses may accompany you if we have space available.

When scheduling your appointment, we ask that you notify the VA Medical Center that you are a van rider and request a morning appointment Monday-Thursday. Please notify us as soon as possible after you have scheduled your appointment.

If you have a specialty appointment on other days or times, please notify us and we will do everything possible to honor your request on a case by case basis.

About Your Trip

We will call you the day before your appointment to verify your ride and give you a time to meet us. Our vans leave early each morning and sometimes the trip may go past lunch time. Therefore, you may want to be sure to have a book/magazine and money for snacks or lunch. Please be prepared for an all day trip JUST IN CASE.

In the case of bad weather, a driver may determine not to make the trip. In that case, you will need to call the VA reschedule your appointment.
